The Centre de santé communautaire CHIGAMIK Community Health Centre (CSC CHIGAMIK CHC) is now open for business at 865 King Street in Midland.
CHIGAMIK (CHEE gah mick) means "The Peoples' Place" where everyone is welcomed into a culture of caring. Their priority is to help everyone without a family doctor, and because their staff represents three cultures and speaks at least two languages, they are able to meet the unique needs of our community. The Glenn Howard Charity Golf Tournament in support of Physician Recruitment was held at the Midland Golf and Country Club on Friday, August 19, 2011.

This major annual fundraiser included 18 holes of golf under glorious skies, a fantastic dinner, and a live auction which raised approximately $25,000 to support local family physician recruitment efforts.

Special guest was two-time World Curling Champion and 2006 Olympic Gold Medalist Russ Howard. The Midland native returned home to support his brother’s tournament and support a great cause.
